Baker Hughes Integrates Antea’s Mechanical Integrity Capabilities into Cordant Asset Performance Management

Integration expands Cordant™ Asset Performance Management (APM) functionality to deliver enhanced reliability, operational insight and compliance for energy & industrial customers.

HOUSTON – Nov. 6, 2025 – Baker Hughes, an energy technology company, announced Thursday the integration of Antea’s mechanical integrity (MI) capabilities into its Cordant™ Asset Performance Management (APM) software. This integration will be generally available in the first quarter of 2026 and marks a significant expansion of Cordant’s functionality, enabling customers to better manage asset health, safety and performance across complex energy and industrial operations.

Cordant™ is a modular, AI-enabled industrial enterprise solution that optimizes assets, processes, and energy use at scale. Acting as a digital thread across operations, Cordant™ automates decision-making, enhances reliability, and supports sustainability — elevating operational data from plant-level tools to strategic, enterprise-wide impact. The integration underscores Baker Hughes’ commitment to innovation and collaboration, expanding the Cordant™ portfolio to meet evolving customer needs across the energy and industrial landscape.

Antea, a global leader in inspection data management and MI software, brings over 36 years of expertise in risk-based inspection, pipeline integrity, and inspection planning. By embedding Antea’s technology into Cordant™ APM, Baker Hughes will deliver an enhanced digital solution that links inspection data directly to asset strategy and performance — empowering operators with deeper insights and more informed decision-making.

Key benefits of the initial integration include:

  • Enhanced asset reliability and safety by ensuring that critical equipment—such as pressure vessels, piping, and rotating equipment —is inspected, monitored and maintained in alignment with regulatory and engineering standards.
  • Optimized maintenance strategies and reduced OPEX through the integration of MI data into Cordant’s digital ecosystem. Cordant™ Asset Strategy users can now leverage enriched data to shift from time-based to condition-based maintenance, enabling more targeted interventions and extending asset life.
  • Persona-driven workflows that respect operational roles: MI inspectors continue to use Antea’s specialized interface, while strategy and performance teams access enriched MI data within Cordant™ to inform asset strategy refreshes. This supports more holistic, data-driven decision making without disrupting existing workflows.

Accenture is supporting the project as systems integrator, leveraging its global capabilities and domain expertise in mechanical integrity and industrial asset management to ensure a seamless customer experience.

“We remain committed to continuously investing in and evolving Cordant™ to meet the growing complexity of energy and industrial operations,” said Aravind Yarlagadda, senior vice president, Industrial Solutions at Baker Hughes. “The integration of Antea’s mechanical integrity capabilities enables more holistic, data-driven decision making that empowers our customers to optimize performance, enhance safety and drive sustainable outcomes.”

“This alliance marks a significant step for asset integrity management,” said Floyd Baker, vice president of Antea. “By integrating Antea’s 36 years of expertise in MI with the Baker Hughes Cordant solution, we can create a seamless bridge between inspection data and enterprise decision making. Together, we help operators enhance reliability, safety, and sustainability — while supporting the workflows of inspectors, engineers, and asset managers.”
